Tour Overview
This 4-day itinerary runs during any month of 2027, timed around a flexible, year-round itinerary that combines cultural excursions with classic game drives. The route covers Moshi, Materuni Village, Lake Manyara NP and Mto wa Mbu, with accommodation in comfortable, great-value properties including Materuni Homes and Ngare Lodge — a wonderful-value way to experience Tanzania without compromising on the wildlife.
Beyond the daily game drives, this specific departure includes a Materuni waterfalls hike and Chagga coffee tour, a Mto wa Mbu cultural village walk and local lunch, a Maasai boma cultural visit and a full descent onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Every day is run in a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with pop-up roof, alongside an experienced, English-speaking driver-guide for the full trip.
Departures run privately from Zanzibar, and the package covers park fees, VAT and the Tourism Development Levy. Group size is flexible — from a private couple's trip up to a full family or friends group, with an additional vehicle added for larger parties. Children aged 5–11 are welcome sharing with adults. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Zanzibar/ Arusha Airport to Moshi/ Materuni Village
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport in the morning at 09:15, you will meet your private Safari Driver Guide and drive to Moshi at Materuni village arriving in time for a traditional Chagga lunch, you will have the opportunity to taste our local banana beer – definitely not to be missed! and later on you will proceeds with a visit to Materuni waterfall, which is around a 40-minutes’ walk. On the way, your guide will explain about the culture of the Chagga, village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. Later on you will return back to the village arriving in time for leisure and learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed, dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for game drive in the park with picnic lunch and later on proceeds to your lodge arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu to Ngorongoro Crater
After early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) arriving in time for crater tour with picnic lunch down into the crater floor and later on drive back to Mto wa Mbu at your lodge arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight. Today you have an optional Masai Village (Boma) visits for cultural experience.

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu to Tarangire NP/ Arusha Airport
After early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for a game drive in the park with picnic lunch and later on proceed to Arusha Airport arriving in time to for your domestic flight back to Zanzibar departing at 17:00.
