Tour Overview
This 2-day itinerary runs during January–March, June–October and 15–31 December 2027, timed around Tanzania's peak dry-season game viewing, when wildlife concentrates around permanent water sources and visibility is at its best. The route covers Tarangire NP, Karatu and Ngorongoro Crater, with accommodation in well-appointed mid-range properties including Njia Panda Tented Lodge — a comfortable mid-range balance of quality and price.
Beyond the daily game drives, this specific departure includes a full descent onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Every day is run in a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with pop-up roof, alongside an experienced, English-speaking driver-guide for the full trip.
Departures run privately from Zanzibar, and the package covers park fees, VAT and the Tourism Development Levy. Group size is flexible — from a private couple's trip up to a full family or friends group, with an additional vehicle added for larger parties. Children aged 5–11 are welcome sharing with adults. Day 1: Zanzibar/ Arusha Airport to Tarangire NP/ Karatu
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport in the morning at 09:15, you will meet your private Driver Guide and drive to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for a game drive in the park with picnic lunch and later on proceeds to Karatu at your tented lodge arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater/ Arusha Airport/ Zanzibar
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) arriving in time for crater tour with picnic lunch down into the crater and later on drive back to Arusha Airport arriving in time for your domestic flight back to Zanzibar departing at 17:00.
