Tour Overview

The Aberdare Circuit is one of Kenya's most underrated safari experiences — a high-altitude wilderness of moorland, bamboo forest and sparkling waterfalls that hides some of Africa's most elusive wildlife. Elephant, buffalo, giant forest hog and the rare bongo antelope roam dense woodland that few tourists ever explore.

The centrepiece of the experience is an overnight stay at one of the Aberdares' famous treetop lodges, where you observe nocturnal animals from the safety of your elevated room. Floodlit waterholes draw elephant, hyena, leopard and rhino after dark in a display found nowhere else in East Africa.

The circuit continues through the Lake Nakuru National Park — home to rhino, lion and vast flocks of flamingo on the alkaline lake shore — before returning to Nairobi via the scenic Rift Valley escarpment. Accommodation throughout is in quality lodges and camps.
