This 8-day itinerary for Migration Season 2027 takes you through Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, one of Africa's most rewarding wildlife regions. Each day is built around unhurried game drives, scenic drive-throughs and time to properly experience the landscape rather than rush between stops. The route is timed to put you in the path of the Great Migration, with the chance to witness the wildebeest and zebra herds moving through the Serengeti ecosystem.
Accommodation throughout is 3-star mid-range, hand-picked for location and comfort. You'll travel in a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for game viewing, accompanied by an experienced, English-speaking driver-guide for the entire trip.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will meet your private Driver and transfer to Arusha at your boutique hotel arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara NP/ Mto wa Mbu/ Karatu
After breakfast, drive to Mto wa Mbu arriving in time for village walks, cultural tour with local delicious lunch and later on proceeds to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drive in the park and later on proceeds to Karatu at your tented lodge arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) with game drive en-route arriving in time for game drive in the park with picnic lunch and later on proceeds to your tented camp arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to the northern area of Serengeti with game drive en-route arriving in time for game drive with picnic lunch following and sighting the great wildebeest migration crossing the river and later on proceeds to your tented camp arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight. Today you have an optional bush dinner.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, full day game drive in the park with picnic lunch following and sighting the great wildebeest migration crossing the river and later on drive back to your tented camp arriving in time for leisure,dinner and overnight. Today you have an optional hot air balloon safari.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, morning game drive with picnic lunch following and sighting the great wildebeest migration crossing the river and later on proceeds to central area of Serengeti with game drive en-route arriving in time at your tented camp for leisure,dinner and overnight. Today you have an optional sundowner.

Day 7: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater/ Karatu
After an optional bush breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) arriving in time for the crater tour with picnic lunch down into the crater and later on proceeds to Karatu at your tented lodge arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight. Today you have optional Masai village visits.

Day 8: Karatu to Tarangire NP/ Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for game drive with picnic lunch in the park and later on proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport arriving in time for your flight back home or to your next destination.
