Tour Overview
This 8-day itinerary runs during July and August 2027, timed around the single best window to witness the Great Migration's Mara River crossings, when huge columns of wildebeest and zebra brave crocodile-infested waters. The route covers Lake Manyara NP, Mto wa Mbu, Karatu and Central Serengeti, with accommodation in superior, boutique-style properties including Lake Duluti Lodge, Acacia Farm Lodge and Serengeti Sametu Camp — upgraded comfort and character at every stop.
Beyond the daily game drives, this specific departure includes front-row Great Migration river-crossing viewing, an optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari, a Mto wa Mbu cultural village walk and local lunch, a Maasai boma cultural visit and bush breakfast out in the wild. Every day is run in a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with pop-up roof, alongside an experienced, English-speaking driver-guide for the full trip.
Departures run privately from Kilimanjaro International Airport, and the package covers park fees, VAT and the Tourism Development Levy. Group size is flexible — from a private couple's trip up to a full family or friends group, with an additional vehicle added for larger parties. Children aged 5–11 are welcome sharing with adults.
